Oakville Grocery Sonoma Honeycomb

Our honeycomb comes from local Sonoma farms.  Harvested in mid-summer, the honeycomb has a tart flavor that comes from the blackberries that bloom around it; the predominant nectar within the honey is from the blackberry.

Honeycomb is a natural bee product consisting of waxy, hexagonal cells containing raw honey.  The beeswax is edible and offers numerous health benefits, including the potential of fighting infections and improving heart health.  It may also boost liver function and serve as a sugar alternative for diabetics.

Snack on the honeycomb itself or spread it on warm toast.  It pairs well with cheese, fresh fruit and a glass of wine.  Dress up your next cheese plate with this delicacy!
