Immortal Estate 'Slope' Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County 2017
The slope represents the many aspects, elevations, and exposures of this remarkable hillside vineyard. Individual lots from across the property were selected and blended to produce this august cuvée. Aromas of nuanced dark chocolate covered berries, cassis, plush jam, and barrel toast. The body is medium in weight and layered with fruit, oak, and cocoa.
94 points, Jeb Dunnuck
“Deep, concentrated, mineral-driven, and beautiful sweetness” are only a few words that Jeb Dunnuck used to describe this new release from Immortal Slope. The property previously known as Hidden Ridge on the Sonoma side of Spring Mountain was just sold to supermodel, Kate Upton, and Astros pitcher, Justin Verlander, which is all the talk in Sonoma Valley. They held onto 100 point superstar winemaker, Tim Milos, and continuing to create stunning wines that will age gracefully.
This opulent, layered, masterpiece isn’t far from tasting like the $200 big brother, Impassible Mountain. The Immortal Slope spent 28 months in Oak, a couple of years in bottle, and is drinking amazing right now. Don’t hold back on this one, grab a case and fill a glass!
